Harford County

Harford County brings together Bel Air, Aberdeen, Havre de Grace and a wider set of communities. Learn the county through its town centers, transit links and trails, with Aberdeen Proving Ground an important geographic reference point.

Bel Air, Aberdeen and Havre de Grace offer three starting points for getting to know Harford County. They share county services but are separate destinations, so it helps to plan around the place you actually need to reach. Edgewood, Abingdon, Joppatowne and other communities add their own local routes and everyday stops.

The Harford Transit LINK network connects these and other parts of the county. Its route information is a useful first check when combining a local errand with a bus trip. Compare the stop, direction and current schedule rather than assuming that a connection works at every time of day.

For a walking outing, the Ma & Pa Heritage Trail has established access points around North Tollgate Road in Bel Air and Edgeley Grove near Annie’s Playground. Use the current trail map to choose a starting point and an out-and-back walk that fits your day.

Aberdeen Proving Ground is another important point on the county map, with separate Aberdeen and Edgewood areas. The Army’s official visitor directions explain those approaches. Base access has its own requirements and should be checked separately from a trip to the surrounding community.
