Emmorton combines a dedicated recreation and tennis center with nearby Harford Glen, where public visits follow the school-year calendar.
Emmorton offers two different ways to plan active time close to home. The Emmorton Recreation and Tennis Center lists tennis court bookings, instruction and racquet stringing, along with batting-cage rentals and recreation-council basketball. It is a place to arrange a particular activity; membership and court fees apply.
The county’s facility directory gives the center’s address as 2213 Old Emmorton Road, Bel Air. Use that address and check the reservation or program details before arriving, especially when a listing names a recreation council rather than the building itself.
Harford Glen’s seasonal public hours
Nearby Harford Glen Environmental Education Center at 502 West Wheel Road belongs to Harford County Public Schools. Its public schedule runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends from April 1 through the school year’s end, daily during summer, and on weekends from the first day of school through October 31.
That calendar is central to planning an outing: the grounds also support school instruction. Consult the current HCPS information and trail map before visiting, and respect posted closures. A scheduled tennis session and a public-hours walk at Harford Glen offer different experiences, each with its own access arrangements.
