Privacy Policy
Updated November 2, 2026.
Maryland Authority is operated by Coastal Authority Group, LLC. This notice describes information associated with this website and its current features.
Information used to run the site
When you request a page, the hosting and security services receive technical information needed to deliver and protect it. This can include an IP address, browser and device details, the page requested and the time of the request. Technical logs can help investigate errors, abuse and unauthorized access.
Authorized editors also use sign-in information and session cookies to manage the website. Public readers do not need an account to read the website.
Messages and business information
Contact links open an email draft addressed to info@coastalvirginiaauthority.com. The draft can identify Maryland Authority and the section and page that led to the inquiry. You can review or change it before sending. We use the information you choose to send to answer your message, check a correction or manage the matter you raised. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. This site does not provide public submission or newsletter signup forms and does not currently operate a newsletter campaign list.
Directory entries may contain names, business addresses, organization contact details and other information drawn from official public sources. A business listing does not establish a customer relationship with us. Personal information can still deserve protection when it appears in a business context; report a concern through the Contact page.
Browser storage and optional tracking
The public reading pages do not run optional analytics or advertising tracking and do not store a site-specific cookie preference. Hosting and security services may use cookies or similar storage to operate and protect the site. See the Cookie Notice for browser controls and their limits.
Service providers and external sites
Kinsta provides website hosting. Hosting, delivery and security providers process technical information in supplying those services. The page design loads the Anton and Poppins typefaces through Google Fonts. Requests for font styles and files send technical request information to Google when the page loads. These requests are separate from following an outside article or directory link. If you send an email, your email provider and the services used to receive and handle it process the message. Information may need to be disclosed when required by law or to investigate misuse and protect the site.
Directory and source links are ordinary links to outside websites. When you follow one, that website handles your visit under its own privacy practices. Locally hosted photographs do not require you to visit their original source just to view them.
Keeping and protecting information
How long a record is needed depends on its purpose, the services involved and applicable recordkeeping duties. This notice does not promise a single deletion period for all records. Browser preferences can be cleared on your device; doing so does not delete server logs or messages already sent. No website or communication method can guarantee complete security.
Privacy choices and requests
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal data, learn which types of third parties received it, and opt out of certain uses. Maryland law also provides an appeal process for covered requests that are refused. These rights have conditions and exceptions.
Email info@coastalvirginiaauthority.com or use the Contact page. Identify your request as a privacy request or, if relevant, an appeal of a previous response. Include the earlier request or response so we can identify an appeal. Do not include passwords, financial account numbers or identity documents in an initial message. Identity checks, where appropriate, should request only what is needed to handle the request securely.
The Maryland Attorney General's data privacy information explains consumer rights and complaint options.
Children and changes to this notice
The site includes information for families. It does not provide public submission or newsletter signup forms. Please do not send a child's private contact details, precise location, school schedule or other sensitive information through an inquiry or story suggestion.
New contact, newsletter, advertising or measurement features require a review of this notice and the relevant controls before they are enabled.
