Fountain Green
Fountain Green connects nearby park outings with organized recreation and a shared forum for local county issues.
For Fountain Green residents, nearby Prospect Mill Park provides a straightforward outdoor option. The county’s stream-location guide lists a trail and picnic area at 821 Prospect Mill Road. Choose that named entrance for a park visit rather than relying on the broader Bel Air mailing area to identify the destination.
Outdoor activity and organized play
In December 2021, the county announced the installation of an outdoor exercise area at Prospect Mill Park, adding another purpose to the park beyond a walk or picnic. Follow the instructions and any posted equipment restrictions when visiting.
The Hickory–Fountain Green Recreation Council works with Harford County Parks and Recreation on community programs. It is a useful contact for finding an organized activity and learning which venue a program uses. Registration details and schedules belong to the individual program.
A voice in county matters
Fountain Green also appears in the name of the shared Churchville-area Community Advisory Board, alongside Creswell, Dublin and Darlington. Its agendas and minutes offer a starting point for following local discussions. These resources connect the community to parks, volunteer recreation and county government without requiring all three to share one building or neighborhood boundary.
