Anne Arundel County has several distinct local centers, with Annapolis providing the state-capital setting and communities such as Glen Burnie, Odenton and Severna Park offering their own places for daily errands. Use the county as an overview, then look more closely at the community and route that fit your day.
The B&A Trail follows the former railroad corridor between the Annapolis end at Boulters Way and Glen Burnie’s Dorsey Road. It offers a different way to connect with the county, with established stops such as Earleigh Heights in Severna Park. The county’s wider trail system also includes the BWI, Broadneck and WB&A routes.
For time outdoors, Kinder Farm Park in Millersville brings together walking trails and agricultural history. The county’s parks and water-access directory points to places including Quiet Waters, where Harness Creek meets the South River, and Downs Park on the Chesapeake Bay.
Choose the exact park or landing before setting out. A waterfront neighborhood name does not tell you where the public entrance is, and different destinations have different uses, access rules and facilities.
