Arden on the Severn has privately managed beaches and boat access, alongside a separate county park project. Resident passes and the county’s design updates answer different questions about recreation here.
Understand the beach arrangements
Arden Beaches Inc. manages private waterfront facilities for qualifying members and authorized guests. These beaches are part of community life, but they are not general county swimming destinations. Someone joining friends here should settle the relevant guest arrangements with the resident host before arriving at a beach or ramp.
Choose the right resident pass
The organization’s pass and reservation page separates beach access from other amenities, including boat-launch arrangements and gatherings. Residents can start with the form that matches their intended use, rather than assuming a beach pass covers every activity. New residents should use the current process to establish their own authorized access; a previous occupant’s arrangements do not answer that question.
Follow the separate county park project
The county’s Arden Park capital project concerns facilities on Sunrise Beach Road. Its May 22, 2026 update places improvements in design, following an April design start. Work involving fields, paths and parking is therefore a planning update, not a report of newly completed facilities. Keep this county project separate from the community’s private beaches when choosing a destination or following local improvements.
