Severna Forest

Explore Severna Forest’s Forked Creek pier, resident association and boat or paddlecraft storage process, with links to current community rules.

Severna Forest’s shared waterfront sits on Forked Creek, just off the Severn River. A community pier provides a base for residents’ boating and paddlecraft use, with spaces for boats, kayaks and canoes offered when available. The association celebrated the new pier in June 2018, after several years of work by neighborhood volunteers. Explore the waterfront.

A creekside recreation option

For residents who enjoy getting onto the water, the combination of a pier and paddlecraft storage can make Forked Creek part of an ordinary outing. Ask the association about the current key, storage and slip arrangements before planning a launch. The waterfront is community property for authorized use.

How neighbors take part

The community association coordinates social activity, shared-property upkeep and civic matters. It also represents Severna Forest in the Greater Severna Park Council. Eligible homeowners and residents can participate through annual membership, giving newcomers a direct route into neighborhood information and volunteer work. About the association.

Practical boating information

Reserve a rack or slip through the association’s current process before paying; its instructions explain that payment alone does not reserve space. Check county water notices when planning a swim. For an activity on land, the Severna Park Library offers public programs and meeting space at 45 West McKinsey Road.
