Manhattan Beach

Find Manhattan Beach’s three creekside beach areas, private ramp rules, clubhouse and connection toward the B&A Trail in Severna Park, Maryland.

Manhattan Beach in Severna Park is organized around several small waterfront places rather than one large public beach. The civic association identifies Dividing Beach on Dividing Creek, Oak Grove Beach on Cypress Creek and Cypress Beach, also on Cypress Creek, with a view toward the Magothy River. Their different settings matter when comparing a sandy gathering place with a more natural shoreline. See the association’s beach guide.

Waterfront privileges and storage

These are private community facilities. The association describes resident paddlecraft racks at all three beach areas, while its boat ramp information explains a member gate-key process. A shoreline address or a nearby beach on a map does not establish a visitor’s access, a rack reservation or ramp eligibility. Check the current membership and facility rules before planning a launch. Ramp information.

Community life beyond the beach

The clubhouse provides a place for community gatherings, meetings and Scout activities, with a playground nearby. The association also describes a sidewalk connection toward the B&A Trail. Use the county’s trail maps to plan the route from a particular street; the distance from one edge of the neighborhood is not the walking distance from every home.

What to compare

For a home visit, distinguish access to a beach, storage for a paddlecraft and access to the boat ramp. Ask which facility you would use most often and how you would reach it on foot or with equipment. The association’s beach restoration notices can also change how a facility is used, so check notices before arriving rather than relying on an older listing photo.
