Neighborhood

Chartridge

Explore Chartridge’s resident pool, neighborhood recreation and architectural review process, with direct links to its Severna Park association.

Chartridge developed during the 1970s and 1980s and has a community pool at the center of its recreation offering. The pool arrangement is a useful distinction from nearby clubs that sell outside memberships: Chartridge’s association says its pool is for residents and accompanied guests, with membership included in association fees. Pool information.

Seasonal recreation

The association describes a community swim team as well as resident use of the pool and pavilion. These facilities help explain the neighborhood’s summer rhythm, but access and program participation should be checked directly for the current season. Someone who lives elsewhere in Severna Park should not plan on purchasing an outside pool membership here.

Understand exterior-project review

Chartridge publishes a separate architectural-review process for exterior changes. Before budgeting for a deck, fence, addition or other visible alteration, review the association’s current directions and submit the required request. The county permit process and the neighborhood review are separate steps; a property’s potential should be assessed with both in mind. Architectural review guidance.

Comparing a home

Look at the route from the particular house to the pool and everyday destinations, and request the association documents and current assessment information. The association website also provides a direct way to check seasonal activity. This profile does not assign schools by neighborhood name: use the current AACPS address lookup for the property being considered.
