Neighborhood

Admiral Heights

Admiral Heights connects Annapolis streets named for naval leaders with neighborhood waterfront spaces. Dewey Dock, Halsey Park and the separately managed boat club have distinct uses and access arrangements.

Naval names beside the stadium

Admiral Heights is an Annapolis neighborhood whose street names honor naval admirals. The association’s community history records its incorporation into the City in 1951, when annexation brought water and sewer connections. The Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is a useful landmark beside the neighborhood, while the residential streets lead toward its smaller waterfront gathering places.

Two different waterfront spaces

The association’s amenity guide distinguishes Dewey Dock in Heineman Park from Halsey Park at Halsey and McDonough roads. Dewey has a dock and a path to the water. Halsey has lawn and picnic space, with a path to the shoreline but no pier. That difference matters when arranging a neighborhood gathering or a kayak outing: the two places offer different facilities.

Ask about the boat club separately

The Williams Drive waterfront is managed by the Admiral Heights Boat Club. Its dock, boat storage and slips have a separate membership process; applicants must also be association members in good standing. New residents should begin with the association’s current amenity contacts to establish which access arrangements apply. Membership information, a slip application and permission to use waterfront space are separate steps.
