Ruthsburg

Ruthsburg’s community club offers a local point of connection, with the trails and lake of Tuckahoe State Park nearby.

For an introduction to Ruthsburg, start with the community club. The Ruthsburg Community Club website posts a monthly meeting pattern, excluding July, and provides a direct contact. It gives residents a specific local organization to approach when learning about community life.

A local gathering place

The county’s resource directory identifies Ruthsburg Community Center at 105 Damsontown Road. The listing uses Queen Anne as its mailing place; the venue’s Ruthsburg name remains the useful local reference. Check with the club about a particular meeting or gathering rather than assuming the building is open throughout the day.

Nearby outdoor time

Tuckahoe State Park offers a nearby change of setting, with a 60-acre lake and trails through the creek landscape. Its self-guided activity downloads include scavenger hunts, lake-trail bingo and orienteering materials, which can help give an outing a focus.

Use the entrance that matches your activity: the park office, campground, lake facilities and equestrian center have separate addresses. Seasonal services also differ. On October 2, 2026, the state still listed the challenge course as closed, so it should not be part of a promised visit.

The community center and state park serve different purposes. One is a way to connect with a local organization; the other is a nearby public recreation destination. Keeping that distinction clear makes Ruthsburg easier to understand without enlarging it to include every surrounding attraction.
