Dominion

Dominion’s Little Creek waterfront connects Kent Island’s working-water history with a county boat landing and a small marina.

Dominion’s waterfront is easiest to understand through two distinct addresses on Little Creek Road. The county manages Dominion Marina at 1807 Little Creek Road, a small facility with six slips. When checked on October 2, 2026, the county reported that the slips were rented and maintained a waiting list.

Public launch access

Little Creek Landing is at 1901 Little Creek Road. The landing has a boat ramp and a bulkhead used for fishing and crabbing. Its water connection runs through Little Creek and Crab Alley Bay toward Eastern Bay. A county public landing permit is required. The landing and marina share a road, but have different entrances and purposes.

A nearby story of water and commerce

The Kirwan House and Store Museum in Chester offers context for this part of Kent Island. James E. Kirwan moved from sailing into farming and retail; boats once carried lumber and coal along Kirwan Creek for local distribution. The Heritage Society preserves the house and store as a museum.

Use the society’s seasonal tour schedule when planning to go inside. A museum visit can add historical context to a waterfront outing, while keeping public launch access, leased marina space and scheduled historic-site tours distinct.
