Pointers Run

Pointers Run is one of River Hill’s two neighborhoods in Columbia, alongside Pheasant Ridge. The village association places River Hill off Route 108 in the Clarksville area. Its description of the village’s physical layout notes that MD 32 divides the village and that Pointers Run occupies several sections, an important distinction when choosing an actual destination or route.

Pointers Run Elementary School maintains current information on enrollment, arrival procedures, transportation and volunteering. Those resources are useful for families dealing with the school; a neighborhood name alone should not be used to determine a home’s school assignment. Follow the school system’s address-specific information for that question.

For wider village matters, River Hill’s office is at Claret Hall on Daybreak Circle. Before relying on a pathway connection, also review the association’s construction updates. An August 2026 notice described test-pitting closures and further sewer-work detours expected once that work is scheduled. Follow current posted routes and barriers, and plan around the entrance you intend to use rather than assuming every section has the same connection.
