Neighborhood

Pheasant Ridge

Pheasant Ridge is a River Hill neighborhood connected with shared village facilities and Columbia’s pathway network.

Pheasant Ridge is one of the two neighborhoods in Columbia’s River Hill village, in the Route 108 and Clarksville area. The village’s background page traces its name to a 1745 land grant and connects River Hill street names to Walt Whitman and James Whitcomb Riley.

Shared River Hill resources

River Hill Pool at 6330 Trotter Road serves as a village recreation resource. Columbia Association lists beach-entry main and wading pools, eight swimming lanes, a hot tub and shaded picnic areas. Check its seasonal schedule and admission policies when planning a visit.

At 6020 Daybreak Circle, Claret Hall houses the community association and offers classes, meetings and rental space. The office also provides welcome information and village publications.

Pathways are another part of the local network, but construction can affect a planned walk. In an August 2026 notice, the association reported test-pitting closures and anticipated further detours for sewer work. Check current notices and follow posted barriers when choosing a route; that dated notice does not establish which individual paths are open today.
