Phelps Luck

Phelps Luck is one of the neighborhoods of Columbia’s Long Reach village. Its name adapts the older land-grant name Phelps His Luck, and its neighborhood center opened in September 1973, according to the village’s history. Long Reach’s first residents had arrived two years earlier, in 1971.

A neighborhood gathering point

The Phelps Luck Neighborhood Center at 5355 Phelps Luck Drive has two rooms available through Long Reach’s rental program. It stands beside the outdoor pool, making the address useful when locating either facility. Center tours require an appointment; room use is arranged through the association.

At the same address, Columbia Association’s Phelps Luck Pool has an eight-lane main pool, a diving board and a separate wading pool. Shade structures and covered picnic tables provide places for breaks between swims. Use the pool’s own schedule and admission information when planning a seasonal visit. A room reservation and pool admission are separate arrangements, so check the relevant operator for the activity you have in mind.
