Neighborhood
Locust Park
Locust Park is a Long Reach neighborhood whose early community center and outdoor pool share a Lambskin Lane address.
Locust Park has a place in Long Reach’s early community history: its neighborhood center was the village’s first, opening in February 1973. The association’s account links the neighborhood name to Locust Thicket on an older land-grant map.
A center and pool on Lambskin Lane
The Locust Park Neighborhood Center is at 8995 Lambskin Lane, beside the pool. It is one of Long Reach’s smaller rental spaces, with a kitchen, tables and chairs, a covered outdoor area and a playground. Contact the association to arrange a room booking or appointment-only tour.
Columbia Association’s Locust Park Pool uses the same address. It includes an eight-lane main pool, a slide, a basketball hoop in the water and a separate wading pool. The operator also identifies aquatic exercise among its offerings. Those details make the center-and-pool address a useful local reference, but the two facilities have different booking and admission arrangements. Follow the pool page to its seasonal schedule and current status before setting out; consult Long Reach separately for a meeting or private event.
