Dorsey's Search
Dorsey’s Search connects Dorsey Hall and Fairway Hills, with Linden Hall community services, village shopping and several distinct recreation choices near Columbia’s northern edge.
Dorsey’s Search is a Columbia village made up of Dorsey Hall and Fairway Hills. Its first residents arrived in Dorsey Hall in 1980, and Linden Hall later became the village’s community center. An Ellicott City mailing address appears on some local facilities; that postal label does not erase their role in the Columbia village.
Begin at Linden Hall
The village association is based at 4765 Dorsey Hall Drive. Linden Hall provides association offices and space for gatherings, while the village shopping center is on Dorsey Hall Drive off Route 108, west of Route 29. Use the exact building address when meeting someone. For a prospective rental, the association’s current notices say that viewing the facility requires an appointment, so arrange the visit before bringing an event-planning group.
Choose the recreation destination
The village’s parks and facilities guide lists Fairway Hills Golf Course at 5100 Columbia Road and points to the separate entrances of nearby Centennial Park. A golf booking, a lake walk and a trip to a sports field are different outings. Select the entrance or facility that serves the activity, then share that location with the rest of the group. A general Centennial Park search can send people to different sides of the park.
Keep the service contacts straight
The village association supplies community information and handles village matters; CA manages its own recreation memberships. That division is useful when asking about a hall rental, a pool visit or a golf session. Begin with Linden Hall for a village question and the facility operator for recreation arrangements, rather than assuming one membership or office covers every destination.
