Street
Street’s Agricultural Center brings farming, home gardening, conservation and youth education together at one northern Harford address.
One of Street’s most useful public resources is the Harford County Agricultural Center at 3525 Conowingo Road. Opened in 2018, it gathers agricultural organizations and services in a repurposed commercial building. For residents, the center makes the county’s farming economy tangible: it is a place to seek information, attend a program or connect with organizations working on the land.
Help for farms and home gardens
University of Maryland Extension’s Harford office is based in the center. Its work includes agriculture, home gardening, natural resources, family education and 4-H youth development. The office’s resources and event listings are useful whether the question concerns a small garden, a farm enterprise or a child’s interest in an educational project.
Watch the campus calendar
The county’s April 2026 Ag-Stravaganza announcement illustrates another side of the complex: scheduled programs bringing together farm demonstrations, conservation groups and local history. That event included access to the Joesting-Gorsuch House. Future visits should follow a current event announcement or an arrangement with the relevant office; an occasional open house does not establish daily access to every building. Use the center’s full street address when planning the trip.
