Norrisville

Norrisville’s shared library and recreation center gives northern Harford a place for reading, programs and community activity.

Norrisville’s library and recreation center is a useful community anchor at 5310 Norrisville Road. The library branch shares its building and grounds with Parks and Recreation, including a meeting room, gym and pavilion. Its White Hall mailing address is worth keeping with the street number when navigating.

Learning beyond the bookshelves

The branch lists public computers, printing and Wi-Fi alongside science kits, musical-instrument kits and nature backpacks. Its program calendar can help families and adults find an activity suited to their interests. Borrowing availability and registration vary, so use the catalog or branch calendar for a specific plan.

From bookmobile to shared center

The library’s local history traces service here to a bookmobile in 1947. A fixed deposit collection followed in 1985, and the joint full-service library and recreation center opened in 2003. That progression explains why one address now serves several community needs.

The county maintains a separate recreation-center contact for the same site. Check with the appropriate operator for a room or organized activity; library opening hours do not automatically establish access to the gym. The shared campus offers a practical first stop for learning what is happening locally.
