Tracys Landing

Tracys Landing has a distinctive collection of rescued historic buildings at Herrington Harbour North. Combine the village’s self-guided grounds with a separately arranged Deale Museum visit.

History gathered on Deale Road

The Herrington Harbour North Historic Village Museum at 389 Deale Road gives Tracys Landing a distinctive history destination. The collection contains buildings rescued from several Maryland counties, including a one-room schoolhouse, a smokehouse, a dairy house and an African American meeting house. They were brought together here for preservation; they do not represent a village that originally stood on this site.

Separate the grounds visit from an interior tour

The marina operator lists free daily self-guided visits and seasonal guided programs. Some buildings are identified as under renovation. The Deale Area Historical Society operates its museum in the Nutwell School and provides an appointment contact for visiting the museum and surrounding buildings. Arrange that visit directly if seeing the interiors or meeting a guide is central to your trip.

Use the exact destination address

Another local outdoor stop is Deale Tracey’s Park, listed by the county at 40 Deale Road. Although Deale appears in both destination names, the county and museum sources use Tracys Landing addresses. Enter the street number when navigating, and keep the historic village, marina facilities and county park as separate stops.
