Point Pleasant
Point Pleasant lies between Marley and Furnace creeks. Its neighborhood association gives property owners and tenants a direct way to participate in local matters through meetings and community activities.
Point Pleasant between two creeks
The county’s District 2 overview locates Point Pleasant in the Glen Burnie area between Marley and Furnace creeks. Those waterways are useful orientation points, but they do not make every shoreline property a public recreation site. For a neighborhood visit, start with a specific street address rather than a general creek label.
Meet the local association
The Point Pleasant–Shoreland Improvement Association dates to 1948 and includes both property owners and tenants. Its website provides current meetings, activities and participation information. That offers a practical route into local discussion for someone settling into the area, following a community issue or looking for a volunteer role.
Find the meeting location
The association identifies its meeting venue as The Lodge at Point Pleasant Road and Bell Avenue. The Glen Burnie Volunteer Fire Company lists the Lodge at 1012 Bell Avenue, separate from its Central Avenue fire station. Use the association’s current calendar for the meeting date and the Lodge address for navigation. A community meeting and a private venue booking are different arrangements, so contact the appropriate organization for the purpose of your visit.
