Harmans

Harmans has a public recreation anchor at Matthewstown-Harmans Park and a separate baseball venue at Joe Cannon Stadium. Their Hanover mailing addresses and different entrances are useful details when planning a visit.

Start at Matthewstown-Harmans Park

Matthewstown-Harmans Park is at 7605 Ridge Chapel Road, with a Hanover mailing address. Its combination of paved paths, a nature trail, playgrounds and courts offers several ways to use the same public recreation area. The county also lists a dog park with separate pens and a pavilion available through its reservation process.

Use the right entrance for baseball

Joe Cannon Stadium has a different address: 7551 Teague Road. The county places the baseball venue at Matthewstown-Harmans Park but describes it as a rental facility for organized play. Its artificial-turf rules require molded cleats or athletic shoes, and pets are not permitted. Those conditions belong to the stadium, rather than defining every activity in the wider park.

Match the plan to the facility

For a walk or playground visit, navigate to the park. For a scheduled game, use the stadium entrance and the organizer’s event instructions. For a gathering needing reserved shelter, begin with the county’s pavilion process. Keeping the two addresses separate is more useful than relying on the general Harmans or Hanover place name, especially when several people are meeting from different directions.
