Gibson Island
Gibson Island’s club facilities use member and sponsored-guest arrangements. Plan through a host or the club office; nearby Downs Park provides a distinct public option for Chesapeake shoreline recreation.
Club recreation with a host arrangement
Gibson Island’s club facilities include golf, tennis, dining and an outdoor pool. The Maryland tourism listing gives the club address as 534 Broadwater Way and describes its nine-hole course. The listing helps identify the destination, but a visit still needs the club’s own membership or guest arrangement.
Contact the club before traveling
The club’s visitor-card application is completed by a sponsoring member and distinguishes limited guest access from full membership. It also assigns responsibility for the visit to that member. Ask the host and business office to confirm the current process and which activities the visit includes. The form is useful evidence of how sponsored visits work; obtain the current version and instructions directly from the office.
Choose a public shoreline outing separately
For a public Chesapeake Bay destination on the surrounding peninsula, Downs Park is at 8311 John Downs Loop in Pasadena. Its trails, fishing pier and playground provide another way to spend time near the water. Follow the county’s entrance and park rules there; the park visit is separate from any invitation to Gibson Island.
