Neighborhood

Dasher Green

Dasher Green is an Owen Brown neighborhood with a pool on Cradlerock Way and shared village services nearby.

Dasher Green is one of Owen Brown’s three neighborhoods in Columbia. The village history connects its name to the Dasher family, whose farmland preceded the planned community. Its street names draw on the work of poet John Greenleaf Whittier.

Cradlerock Way resources

The neighborhood’s outdoor recreation anchor is Dasher Green Pool at 6805 Cradlerock Way. Columbia Association lists an eight-lane main pool, a wading pool with a small slide, a hot tub and shaded areas. The operator’s schedule and current-status links help distinguish an available swimming session from a closed seasonal facility. Check admission requirements before making plans around the pool.

The Owen Brown Community Center is nearby at 6800 Cradlerock Way. The village lists classes and rental space there, alongside other shared resources such as the East Columbia library and Lake Elkhorn. For a newcomer, the center offers a useful starting point for village activities beyond swimming. Use the center’s program or rental information for indoor events and the Columbia Association pool page for aquatics; the neighboring addresses do not make them a single reservation.
