Neighborhood
Hobbit's Glen
Hobbit’s Glen is Harper’s Choice’s Tolkien-inspired neighborhood. Golf, public driving-range practice and restaurant visits have different access arrangements at the Willow Bottom Drive club.
Tolkien on the neighborhood map
Hobbit’s Glen belongs to Harper’s Choice village in Columbia. Its name and street names draw from J.R.R. Tolkien’s work, including The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The village association’s naming account makes the literary connection explicit. The name identifies a residential neighborhood; its most prominent recreation destination is the golf club.
Choose golf or driving-range practice
Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club is at 11130 Willow Bottom Drive. CA describes a par-72 course and a public driving range with 26 tees, along with clinics and lessons. Course access has separate eligibility rules: CA’s Columbia Card information describes the course as members-only while identifying booking eligibility for qualifying cardholders. Contact the pro shop through the tee-time page to confirm the arrangement that applies to your visit. Public access to the range does not by itself include a round on the course.
You can book a meal without golfing
The Turn House is the restaurant at the club and expressly welcomes the public without a golf membership. It offers indoor and outdoor dining, weekend brunch and private-event arrangements. Reserve through the restaurant for a meal or ask about its event spaces directly. Keeping the restaurant, practice range and golf course as three separate choices makes planning straightforward, whether you are coming for dinner, a first lesson or a full round.
