Neighborhood
Yale Heights
Yale Heights has varied housing, its own named park and CityLink Purple stops along the Yale Avenue and Cedar Garden Road corridor.
Yale Heights is a southwest Baltimore City neighborhood adjoining Beechfield, Tremont and Irvington. Live Baltimore describes a mix of attached rowhouses, detached homes and apartments. Those different building forms create several residential settings within one official neighborhood.
The City maps Yale Heights Park in the neighborhood, giving the area a named green-space anchor. For transit, MTA’s CityLink Purple lists stops at Yale Avenue and Parkton Street and at Cedar Garden Road and Bethnal Road. Use the current direction and departure information when comparing a home with a regular trip.
A nearby trail needs a separate plan. Catonsville Rails to Trails identifies the Beechfield portion of the Short Line route as disconnected from the main trail. It should not be treated as a continuous shortcut through the surrounding neighborhoods.
