Neighborhood
Winston-Govans
York Road bus connections, local civic contacts and nearby household-support resources give Winston-Govans practical links to the wider Govans corridor.
A neighborhood within Govans
Winston-Govans sits among a group of small north Baltimore neighborhoods, adjoining Richnor Springs, Kenilworth Park and Woodbourne-McCabe. Its City boundary is separate from York-Homeland. That distinction helps when comparing a property address, a neighborhood notice and a business described more broadly as being in Govans.
Use York Road for the bus connection
MTA’s CityLink Red connects the York Road corridor with downtown Baltimore and Towson/Lutherville. The stop list includes York Road at Winston Avenue and at Cold Spring Lane. Use the route’s direction selector and service alerts to plan the return trip as well as the outward journey; a departure time belongs to a particular date and direction. The route page also provides a timetable and map.
Find a local point of contact
GEDCO’s member directory includes the Winston Govans Improvement Association. For household support, its separate CARES service page explains the client-choice food pantry and assistance intake. Start there for requirements and the correct service contact, whether you need support or want to contribute supplies.
