Neighborhood

Washington Hill

Washington Hill combines substantial rowhomes, townhomes and apartments with small parks and community planning along the Broadway corridor.

Washington Hill’s housing includes larger rowhomes, townhomes and apartment buildings, according to Live Baltimore. The City map places the neighborhood beside Butchers Hill, CARE, Dunbar-Broadway, Upper Fells Point and several communities closer to downtown. This position links its residential blocks with different parts of east Baltimore.

Neighborhood parks at a smaller scale

City park mapping places portions of City Springs and Betty Hyatt within Washington Hill. These named spaces give the neighborhood local public-land references beyond the better-known Patterson Park to the east. Their scale and setting are part of Washington Hill’s own residential geography.

A shared Broadway planning effort

The Upper Fells Point Improvement Association’s August 2026 meeting recap records support for forming Broadway Partners with the Washington Hill Community Association. The proposed effort concerns the corridor between Eastern Avenue and East Baltimore Street. It shows adjacent communities working toward a shared street initiative; the meeting record describes an organizational step, not a completed construction project or a guarantee of funding.
