Neighborhood
Tremont
Tremont is a brick-rowhouse neighborhood with a Frederick Avenue transit connection and access to southwest Baltimore’s wider trail network.
Tremont sits between Ten Hills, Beechfield, Yale Heights and Irvington in southwest Baltimore City. Live Baltimore identifies attached brick rowhouses as its predominant housing form, with apartment buildings also listed. The relatively compact neighborhood forms one part of a close network of residential communities.
MTA’s CityLink Purple lists Frederick Avenue and Tremont Road as a stop on its City Hall–Paradise/Catonsville route. That is a useful specific reference for planning a bus trip; the walk to the stop still depends on the starting address and direction of travel.
For a nearby outdoor outing, Catonsville Rails to Trails describes the Beechfield section of the Short Line Trail as accessible from South Beechfield Avenue but disconnected from the rest of the route. The operator continues to identify the overall project as under construction. Plan a particular trail segment rather than assuming a continuous path into Catonsville.
