Taylor Heights

Taylor Heights combines detached homes with Parkwood Cemetery at Baltimore’s northeastern edge, beside North Harford Road and City Overlea.

Taylor Heights has an unusual balance of residential land and cemetery grounds. Live Baltimore’s neighborhood account describes detached houses and identifies Parkwood Cemetery as occupying much of the area. That combination gives this corner of northeast Baltimore a different land-use pattern from the uninterrupted rowhouse blocks found elsewhere in the city.

Use the cemetery’s own address

The Maryland Cemetery and Cremation Association’s directory lists Parkwood Cemetery at 3310 Taylor Avenue. For a family visit, burial inquiry or historical research, contact the cemetery before setting out. A landscaped cemetery is a place of remembrance with its own access arrangements; its presence does not establish a public park or a recreational walking route.

Keep the city edge in view

The City neighborhood boundary places Taylor Heights beside North Harford Road and Overlea. It is useful to keep that mapped City location in mind when searching nearby addresses, since the broader northeastern suburban area continues across the Baltimore County line. A Taylor Avenue destination and a Taylor Heights home may share a nearby road without sharing the same neighborhood or jurisdiction.
