Neighborhood

Shipley Hill

Shipley Hill has a distinct southwest Baltimore location, a named neighborhood park and bus connections along nearby Frederick Avenue toward downtown and Catonsville.

Locate the neighborhood among its neighbors

Shipley Hill adjoins Boyd-Booth, Carrollton Ridge, Millhill, Carroll-South Hilton and Penrose/Fayette Street Outreach. These close boundaries make the full street address useful when following a local service or meeting notice. A business using a broader southwest Baltimore description may be nearby without being inside Shipley Hill itself.

Use a named local green space

The City maps Warwick Avenue Park in the neighborhood. Its official name is a helpful starting point for locating the space and arranging a meeting. The map establishes where the park is; use an on-site notice or current organizer for a particular activity, and choose a public entrance rather than cutting through neighboring properties.

Check the Frederick Avenue bus connection

MTA’s CityLink Purple runs between City Hall and Paradise/Catonsville, with Frederick Avenue stops including Pulaski, Bentalou and Catherine streets. Use the route’s dated timetable and direction selector to choose the relevant stop. Plan the return direction separately, especially where one-way streets put the two stops on different blocks.
