Neighborhood
Sandtown-Winchester
Sandtown-Winchester connects with Pennsylvania Avenue’s community arts programs, where residents can find creative classes, youth enterprise activities and neighborhood participation.
Connect through Pennsylvania Avenue
Sandtown-Winchester adjoins Upton, Penn North, Harlem Park and other west Baltimore neighborhoods. Pennsylvania Avenue provides a useful cultural connection across those boundaries. When choosing an activity, start with the organization’s stated service area and address, since neighborhood participation often reaches farther than a single City map label.
Explore Jubilee’s arts programs
Jubilee Arts expressly serves Sandtown-Winchester, Upton and surrounding communities. Its Pennsylvania Avenue space opened in 2009, with programming in dance, visual arts, ceramics and entrepreneurship. The mix offers several ways to take part, from making an object to developing a creative business idea, without needing to treat an arts visit as a one-time performance.
Choose the current class session
Jubilee’s own class-registration page is the starting point for the next available session. Its programs span visual arts, dance, ceramics and business, while Youth in Business gives young people experience developing and selling art products. Ask about the age group, materials, fees and available places for the particular class; the presence of a program category does not mean every class is currently enrolling.
