Pimlico Good Neighbors

Pimlico Good Neighbors combines residential streets, a long-established association and the changing Pimlico racecourse site.

Pimlico Good Neighbors is a northwest Baltimore neighborhood beside Arlington, Glen, Levindale, Mount Washington and Central Park Heights. Live Baltimore describes rowhouses and detached homes alongside the prominent Pimlico racecourse site. The residential community has an identity beyond race day and includes the City-mapped Winner Avenue Park.

The Pimlico Good Neighbors Association’s own history dates its founding to 1972 and records its current-name change in 2020. That provides a local starting point for questions about community priorities and participation; obtain current meeting details directly rather than using older event notices.

Pimlico is in a period of major change. The state’s April 2026 racing announcement placed that year’s Preakness at Laurel Park and described a planned return to a rebuilt Pimlico in 2027. The redevelopment should therefore shape how visitors interpret older neighborhood guides. Do not arrive expecting the former grandstand, old race-day parking arrangements or unrestricted access to construction areas. For an event, confirm the operator’s current venue and entrance instructions before traveling.
