Neighborhood
Perring Loch
Perring Loch’s postwar rowhouses sit near Morgan State, with Chinquapin Run and Woodbourne Avenue parkland adding local geographic reference points.
Perring Loch takes its name from Perring Parkway and Loch Raven Boulevard. Live Baltimore describes a neighborhood of rowhouses developed during the 1950s, beside Morgan State University. That postwar housing pattern is a useful distinction from nearby communities whose identities center on older detached houses or the university campus itself.
Parkland and neighboring streets
The City map places Perring Loch alongside Loch Raven, Morgan State University, New Northwood and Stonewood-Pentwood-Winston. City park mapping identifies parts of Chinquapin Run Park and Woodbourne Avenue Park in its area. Together, the road names, housing rows and park parcels provide more specific orientation than a general north Baltimore label.
