Neighborhood
Penrose/Fayette Street Outreach
Penrose/Fayette Street Outreach is a southwest Baltimore rowhouse neighborhood connected to community organizations and the West Baltimore Street medical corridor.
Penrose/Fayette Street Outreach sits among Franklin Square, Midtown-Edmondson, Mosher, Boyd-Booth and other west Baltimore neighborhoods. Live Baltimore identifies its rowhouse housing. The combined neighborhood name reflects a local identity that should be kept separate from any single organization serving the area.
One familiar institution has a newer name. Grace Medical Center, formerly Bon Secours Hospital, is operated by LifeBridge Health, which acquired it in 2019. Its main location is 2000 West Baltimore Street, with some services at other addresses. The current facility name and the specific clinic address are more useful for a visit than an older neighborhood listing.
Bon Secours Community Works continues as a separate community resource, with economic-development, youth and family, and housing programs. It describes its location at the meeting of Franklin Square, Boyd-Booth and Fayette Street Outreach. Residents can approach the organization about current services and intake. The shared Bon Secours history therefore leads to two different kinds of destination: medical care and neighborhood support, each with its own contact route.
