Find Pen Lucy on the neighborhood map
Pen Lucy adjoins Waverly, Guilford, Wilson Park, Original Northwood and Ednor Gardens-Lakeside. This places it among several distinct north Baltimore communities. For families exploring local support, a program’s stated service area and enrollment process are more useful than assuming that every nearby organization serves a particular address.
Ask about individual tutoring
The Pen Lucy Action Network Learning Center describes weekly one-to-one math or English tutoring for children in grades one through eight, spanning the elementary and middle-school years, supported by volunteer mentors. Sessions also include group activities and faith-based lessons. Contact the program about the present term, participation requirements and available places before building it into an after-school schedule.
Explore the summer program separately
Summer@Faith combines reading, performing or visual arts and Christian education in collaboration with Faith Christian Fellowship Church. Its reading-buddy and arts activities provide different options from school-year tutoring. Use the current program contact for the next summer’s dates and format; each seasonal program has its own enrollment arrangements.
