Parklane

Parklane combines several housing types with Edgecombe Park and the James D. Gross Recreation Center.

Parklane lies between Central Park Heights, Cylburn, Coldspring, Greenspring and Woodberry in northwest Baltimore City. Live Baltimore describes townhouses, apartments and detached homes, giving the community a mix of building forms. Its local name is useful when looking beyond the broader Park Heights label at the particular streets and resources around a home.

Edgecombe Park is an important green-space reference within the neighborhood. The City’s park inventory places it at 2601 Edgecombe Circle North, and its mapped footprint helps distinguish the park from surrounding residential property. Nearby streets and open space should be considered together when choosing a walking route, while organized uses need their own arrangements.

The James D. Gross Recreation Center is another neighborhood anchor identified in Live Baltimore’s profile. The Northwest Baltimore Partnership also lists the Parklane Neighborhood Association, which can help residents connect with local activity and community priorities. Ask the center or organizers about current programming before planning around a class or event; older neighborhood descriptions of an annual block party do not establish the next event’s date.
