Neighborhood

Oliver

Oliver’s community network includes a protected neighborhood farm, seasonal produce markets and an association connecting residents with local community organizations.

Connect with the neighborhood association

The Historic Oliver Community Association is a starting point for neighborhood news and partner connections. Its network includes organizations working on green space, education and community life. Follow the association’s current notices to find an activity or a contact, and use each partner’s address when planning a visit.

Learn how the farm took root

The 6th Branch established Oliver Community Farm in 2013 after earlier neighborhood cleanups and produce distribution. The organization reports that the farm entered the Baltimore Green Space land trust in October 2022. That history gives the space a defined long-term role as a community green place, separate from the organization’s farms in neighboring areas.

Use the seasonal market listing

The farm is at 1325 North Bond Street. The operator’s market page distinguishes the weekly growing-season markets from winter markets announced around the weather. Produce harvested by the organization is distributed to neighbors without charge. Check for a dated Oliver listing before traveling; a seasonal pattern does not confirm a particular winter market, and market attendance is separate from permission to harvest directly from the beds.
