Neighborhood
Oaklee
Oaklee is a small triangular neighborhood of apartments and rowhouses between Irvington and Violetville.
Oaklee is one of southwest Baltimore City’s compact neighborhoods, adjoining Irvington and Violetville. Live Baltimore describes its triangular shape and mix of apartments and rowhouses. Its small official footprint makes it important to distinguish an Oaklee address from the much larger neighborhoods and institutions nearby.
For travel along the surrounding Wilkens Avenue corridor, MTA’s Route 76 lists stops at Pine Heights Avenue and Leeds Avenue. The line connects the CCBC area with Downtown and includes UMBC among its stops. Choose the direction and exact stop for the journey; a route along the corridor does not put every residence the same distance from boarding.
A major nearby destination is Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital at 900 South Caton Avenue. Its directions are useful for locating the correct campus and department, rather than navigating by the Saint Agnes name alone.
