Neighborhood
Mt Pleasant Park
Mt Pleasant Park brings together a public golf course, ice arena and nineteenth-century chapel, with separate arrangements for each destination.
Mt Pleasant Park is a neighborhood where recreation grounds and an older chapel carry much of the local story. The City’s neighborhood map distinguishes it from surrounding residential communities, including Loch Raven and Hamilton Hills. A visit works best when planned around a specific destination rather than one general park address.
Golf and a surviving chapel
Mount Pleasant Golf Course uses 6001 Hillen Road. Its operator recalls Arnold Palmer’s 1956 tournament victory here, connecting the course with professional golf history. Use the operator’s booking and fee information to plan a round. Within the same setting, Taylor’s Chapel dates to 1853 and survives from the Taylor family’s farm. Its trustees arrange services and private events; casual daily interior access should not be assumed.
Skating has a separate entrance and schedule
Mt. Pleasant Ice Arena is listed at 6101 Hillen Road, with public skating and lessons among its activities. Check the arena’s current sessions and registration requirements before going. The course, chapel and rink share a neighborhood setting, but each has its own operating arrangements.
