Neighborhood
Morrell Park
Morrell Park offers several housing types, a recreation-center anchor and shared library services that currently require checking closure notices.
Morrell Park is a southwest Baltimore City neighborhood adjoining Violetville, Wilhelm Park, Lakeland, Mount Winans and Saint Paul. Live Baltimore describes attached rowhouses, duplexes and detached homes. Its hill setting and mix of buildings distinguish it from neighboring areas dominated by business or industrial uses.
The City’s recreation-location inventory lists Morrell Park Recreation Center at 2651 Tolley Street. Use that specific address when arranging an indoor activity, rather than a general map pin for the surrounding park. Check the current program information before arriving, and distinguish the indoor center from the neighborhood’s outdoor parkland.
Library planning also needs a current check. Pratt’s Washington Village Branch at 856 Washington Boulevard explicitly serves Morrell Park, but on October 2, 2026 it was closed until further notice for facility improvements. Use Pratt’s current branch information to choose an operating location. The recreation center and library network remain useful orientation points, while their separate addresses and operating arrangements determine how residents can actually use them.
