Neighborhood

Mayfield

Mayfield’s varied houses sit near the Montebello and Herring Run landscapes, with a neighborhood association supporting local news and volunteer work.

Mayfield combines several familiar Baltimore housing forms in one neighborhood. Live Baltimore describes detached and semi-detached houses as well as rowhomes. Its setting near Lake Montebello, Herring Run and Clifton Park gives those residential streets several larger landscape reference points without making every nearby park part of the neighborhood itself.

An association with several kinds of work

The Mayfield Improvement Association publishes Mayfield News and describes committees concerned with parks, streams, medians and welcoming residents. It also lists community activity types such as a block party, yard sale and home tour. Use the latest announcement for dates and participation details; a description of recurring activities does not establish this year’s schedule.

Keep the residential boundary in view

The City map places Mayfield beside Montebello, Herring Run Park, Belair-Edison and Clifton Park. These neighboring areas help orient an address or a meeting place. When exploring the houses, stay on public streets unless an owner or organized event has specifically opened a property to visitors.
