Neighborhood
Lower Edmondson Village
Lower Edmondson Village is a small, distinct neighborhood within the broader Edmondson Avenue area and its shared community resources.
Lower Edmondson Village is a small official Baltimore City neighborhood adjoining Allendale, Carroll-South Hilton and Edgewood. Live Baltimore identifies it as a compact southwest community. Its name should not be treated as another label for the separate Edmondson Village neighborhood farther north.
The City’s 2021 Mary E. Rodman INSPIRE plan makes that distinction clear by naming Lower Edmondson Village among the communities involved in school-area planning. It identifies walking routes around the school at 3510 West Mulberry Street and discusses resident priorities for streets, housing and public space. These are documented planning concerns, rather than a claim that every proposed improvement has been completed.
For an everyday resource in the wider area, the Edmondson Avenue Pratt branch is located at 4330 Edmondson Avenue and provides library services, computers and printing. It is a separate trip from Lower Edmondson’s blocks.
