Neighborhood
Jones Falls Area
The Jones Falls Area connects Baltimore’s transport landscape with an urban trail and the operating streetcars of the Baltimore Streetcar Museum on Falls Road.
A corridor with several identities
The Jones Falls Area is a City neighborhood that adjoins places including Bolton Hill, Charles North, Remington and Woodberry. Its name should not be read as the full Jones Falls watershed or the entire trail. For a visit, choose a particular destination along the corridor and plan the connection from there.
Build a realistic trail outing
Rails-to-Trails Conservancy’s Jones Falls Trail map shows a route combining park paths, Falls Road and urban street segments. Select a manageable section and study the transitions before setting out. The larger trail continues well beyond this neighborhood, so a map pin labeled Jones Falls is not by itself a complete walking or cycling itinerary.
Ride a historic streetcar
The Baltimore Streetcar Museum is at 1901 Falls Road. Its fall 2026 schedule lists Sunday public operations, with streetcar rides included in admission. Group arrangements require advance contact, and winter operations differ. Check the museum’s dated schedule before combining a trail outing with a ride.
