Forest Park

Forest Park has varied residential streets and a century-old library branch undergoing a full renovation.

Forest Park is one of several separately named neighborhoods in west Baltimore’s Forest Park area. It adjoins Ashburton, Callaway-Garrison, Central Forest Park, Garwyn Oaks and Hanlon-Longwood. Live Baltimore lists both rowhouses and detached homes, with trees and the nearby Ashburton landscape forming part of the area’s residential setting.

The Forest Park Branch library is a longstanding community reference. It opened in 1910 at Garrison Boulevard and Callaway Avenue, and its service area reaches several surrounding neighborhoods. On October 2, 2026, the branch at 3023 Garrison Boulevard was still closed for a full renovation. Its historical role should not be confused with current indoor availability.

Residents working through a home purchase or housing question can consult GO Northwest. The nonprofit offers education and one-on-one counseling, including support for prospective buyers and homeowners facing financial difficulty. Use its current intake process and workshop information to find the appropriate service; a nearby office is a practical resource, while individual assistance depends on the situation and program.
