Edmondson Village

Edmondson Village’s residential streets connect with a library and a historic shopping corridor undergoing phased reinvestment.

Edmondson Village is an official west Baltimore City neighborhood adjoining Allendale, Edgewood, Rognel Heights and Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park. Live Baltimore describes rowhouses, detached homes and apartments, with churches and small businesses contributing to the wider area’s daily life. The name is also used more broadly along Edmondson Avenue.

The shopping center bearing that name opened in 1947. In a March 2026 redevelopment update, Maryland officials reported that TREND CDC had acquired it in 2023 and described roof, lighting and security improvements, with further parking and utility work ahead. That is a phased redevelopment account, so confirm individual businesses rather than assuming every announced tenant is already operating.

The Pratt branch at 4330 Edmondson Avenue offers a more established everyday stop. It opened in 1952 after residents had organized lending stations, and it continues to provide library services to the surrounding area.
