Neighborhood

East Arlington

East Arlington’s rowhouses and apartments sit near Park Circle, with northwest transit and Druid Hill Park destinations nearby.

East Arlington is a compact northwest Baltimore City neighborhood adjoining Ashburton, Park Circle and Towanda-Grantley. Its housing includes rowhouses and apartment buildings, according to Live Baltimore. The surrounding neighborhoods are useful reference points when comparing an address with nearby shopping, transit and recreation.

Druid Hill Park is a nearby destination beyond the neighborhood itself. One particularly distinctive stop is the Rawlings Conservatory, whose displays include tropical and desert environments as well as outdoor gardens. The outdoor planted beds and a sundial dating to around 1890 bring horticulture and civic history together. Indoor plant displays have their own visiting hours, separate from time spent elsewhere in the park.

The Route 82 timetable provides another practical orientation tool, naming stops around Reisterstown Road and Druid Park Drive and connections at Mondawmin. Review the actual stop and direction for your trip. A visit to East Arlington can therefore be planned around a particular residential block, a transit connection and a separate park destination without treating them as the same place.
