Dolfield combines several housing types with a commercial corridor near West Cold Spring Metro.
Dolfield is a west Baltimore City neighborhood beside West Arlington, Dorchester, Callaway-Garrison, Ashburton and Lucille Park. Live Baltimore describes detached houses, rowhouses and apartments and identifies the Garrison Hill Community Association as a local organization. That housing mix makes the particular street as important as the neighborhood label when comparing a home or planning a visit.
The Dolfield Avenue commercial corridor has its own planning history. A report from a 2012 City-hosted Urban Land Institute panel considered redevelopment around the commercial core beside West Cold Spring Metro. Its recommendations show the longstanding relationship between transit, shops and nearby housing.
