Pikesville

Pikesville’s Reisterstown Road corridor links everyday library services with the phased transformation of the historic Armory campus.

Two civic stops on Reisterstown Road

The Pikesville library at 1301 Reisterstown Road provides a public meeting room, computers, WiFi, printing and a Russian-language collection. Its branch calendar includes activities for different ages, making it a useful place to connect with local learning and cultural programs as well as borrow books. The branch’s own address and entrance are the practical reference for a library visit.

The Armory is opening in phases

Farther along the corridor, the Pikesville Armory Foundation is transforming a seventeen-acre historic campus into a community destination. The restored Noncommissioned Officers Club opened in 2025 and now houses the foundation’s headquarters, meeting space for veterans, room rentals and programmed activities. The foundation gives its physical address as 640 Reisterstown Road.

The larger vision includes arts, recreation, a senior center and additional shared spaces. Those future elements should be distinguished from the completed NCO Club. For an event or rental, the foundation’s current calendar identifies what is actually available. The project gives Pikesville a substantial example of historic reuse while allowing the campus to develop in stages, rather than presenting every proposed amenity as already open.
