Lansdowne
Lansdowne pairs a neighborhood library with a concrete skatepark that has been part of Baltimore County skating for decades.
A library on Third Avenue
The Lansdowne Branch at 500 Third Avenue is an everyday resource for reading, computer access and community programs. Its services include a Spanish-language collection, printing, WiFi and a meeting room. A free lot serves the building, and the exterior book drop offers a separate way to return materials. The current program calendar includes activities for different age groups, so the branch can serve both a practical errand and a planned gathering.
A long-running skating destination
The Baltimore County Skateboard Council identifies Lansdowne’s concrete skatepark at 3326 Bero Road, with a Halethorpe postal address. The council describes a skating history of more than forty years. Its work connects the site with a countywide effort to improve public skateparks and support participation in the sport.
These two destinations show different parts of Lansdowne’s community life: a place for quiet study and shared learning, and a specialized outdoor recreation space. Their postal names differ, but their street addresses make each easy to distinguish when planning a visit. Check the relevant operator for a program or organized activity.
